Statement of Purpose – Ms. Pradnya Pote
As a Counselling Psychologist, I am deeply committed to mental health and education. With a foundation in psychology and advanced studies in counselling, I have worked with diverse populations, offering therapy and guidance. My passion extends to academia, where I foster critical thinking and empathy in my students. Looking ahead, I aim to broaden community outreach, provide mental-health services to underserved groups, and mentor the next generation of psychologists. My work is rooted in diversity and inclusion, ensuring accessible mental-health care and education for all.
Professional Experience and Growth
Upon completing my Master's degree, I embarked on a career as a Counselling Psychologist. Over the years, I have worked with clients from diverse backgrounds, addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, and personal growth. These experiences have honed my skills in cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), person-centred therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches. Through clinical practice and teaching, I strive to make a lasting impact on individuals and the field of psychology.
