The M.Tech Data Science program at IICT is a comprehensive and advanced exploration into the evolving field of data science. This Master's program is designed to deepen students' understanding of complex data analytics, machine learning, and big data technologies. With a focus on both theoretical foundations and practical applications, students delve into specialized areas such as advanced machine learning algorithms, data engineering, and cloud computing. 

The curriculum integrates industry-standard tools like Python, R, and Apache Spark. Through collaborative projects, guest lectures from industry experts, and a research-based thesis, students gain the expertise needed for leadership roles in data science, contributing to innovative solutions in various industries and research domains.

Eligibility

  1. Maharashtra State Candidate.

  • The Candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra state and/or born in Maharashtra state.
  • Passed BCA / B.Sc./ B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects (at 10+2 level or at Graduation level examination) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

2. All India Candidates

  • The Candidate should be an Indian
  • Passed BCA / B.Sc./B.Com./ B.A. with Mathematics/Statistics as one of the subjects (at 10+2 level or at Graduation level examination) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% in case of candidates of backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging to Maharashtra State only).

3. NRI Candidate

  • Passed BCA/B.Sc./B.Com/ B.A. Or equivalent course with Mathematics as one of the subjects (at 10+2 level or at Graduation Level examination) and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  • NRI Seats are based on AICTE norms.
