Program Outline
Forensic Science is an interdisciplinary domain that focuses on crime investigation through scientific examination.
Starting from the crime scene, forensic science deals with the investigation and management of the crime scene, Collection, and analysis of the evidence, and finally it’s procedure and testimony in court. This course aims to train the young minds to be able to gain expertise in various domains under forensic science to be a key player in the judicial system in India. The various domains in forensic science include forensic biology and DNA fingerprinting, forensic chemistry and toxicology, forensic analysis of documents and handwriting, science of fingerprints, ballistics, Cyber security and many more,
Forensic science expertise is required in many agencies like IB, CBI, CID, RAW, the entire nation’s police, and finally in Forensic Science laboratories in India as well as overseas.

Eligibility
(a) Maharashtra State Candidate:
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National and having domicile of Maharashtra state and / or born in Maharashtra state.
(ii) Graduate (B.Sc.) Forensic Science / Physics/ Chemistry / Biology / Maths / Botany / Microbiology / BDS / B. Pharm / as one of the Subject or its equivalent examination and the candidate should have appeared in MGMU - CET 2026 should obtain non zero score in MGMU - CET 2026.
OR
(b) All India Candidates:
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National.
(ii) Graduate (B.Sc.) Forensic Science / Physics/ Chemistry / Biology / Maths / Botany / Microbiology / BDS / B. Pharm / as one of the Subject or its equivalent examination and the candidate should have appeared in MGMU - CET 2026 should obtain non zero score in MGMU - CET 2026.
