B Sc. (Hons.) Computer Science is a four year undergraduate program which deals with the study of principles and fundamentals of computer, where the latest technologies and trends are most important topics. The course empowers students to deal with the technicalities and issues with authorized knowledge of database and analytical skills in mathematics and computer. The programs focus on operating system, Database Management system, Software Engineering, machine learning etc.

Program Outcomes

Foundational Knowledge in Computer Science

Students will acquire a solid foundation in core concepts of computer science, including programming fundamentals, data structures, algorithms, and computer architecture.

Programming Proficiency

Develop proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or others, and learn software development methodologies to design, implement, and debug computer programs.

Data Structures and Algorithms

Gain an understanding of data structures and algorithms, including arrays, linked lists, stacks, queues, trees, graphs, sorting, searching, and algorithmic analysis.

Database Management Systems

Learn principles of database management systems (DBMS), SQL programming, database design, and query optimization for effective data storage and retrieval.

Operating Systems and System Software

Understand operating system concepts, process management, memory management, file systems, and system software components for efficient computer system operation.

Computer Networks and Security

Explore computer network fundamentals, network protocols, network security principles, cryptography, and cybersecurity measures to ensure secure and reliable communication.

Software Engineering Practices

Learn software engineering principles, software development lifecycle (SDLC), software testing techniques, version control systems, and collaborative development tools.

Project Development and Problem-Solving

Apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills to develop software projects, solve complex problems, and undertake real-world computing challenges individually and in teams.

Eligibility

  • He / She Must have Passed the Higher Secondary (Multipurpose) Examination conducted by H.S.C. Board Government of Maharashtra with Science / Technical Subjects or an Examination of any statutory University and Board recognized as equivalent thereto.
  • Candidates having offered prescribed vocational course , (MCVC) with Computer Techniques / I.T./Electronics.
  • Three Yers Course in Diploma Engineering conducted by the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State. He/She must have passed at qualifying examination.
